Could this be the fastest car in the world?...

Mindless blogging...surfing on the net...Fastest car in the world is the "Bugatti Veyron". It is not part of the Benz class rather the Volkswagon manufacturer. There were 300 vehicles produced in 2006, sold mostly in France and Italy. It's speed can top 400km/hr, and costs about $1.4million, please correct me if I'm wrong. It also has a quad-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 64-valve W-16, aluminium block and heads, direct fuel injection for its engine. Basically, 16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders, or the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines mated in a "W" configuration. Each cylinder has 4 valves, for a total of 64, but the narrow V8 configuration allows two camshafts to drive two banks of cylinders so only 4 camshafts are needed. The engine is fed by four turbochargers, and it displaces 8.0 L (7,993 cc/488 inĀ³) with a square 86 by 86 mm bore and stroke.

From zero to 60 in 2.5seconds...From zero to 100miles per hour, 6 seconds...From zero to 200mph in 22seconds. Although there'd be no point in having this "supercar" in TO as you will never be able to drive it to its full potential. Besides, I don't think anyone would want to spend that kind of money on a car.

What a treat@Milestone's

After a long week at work, I say long b/c I worked til 7pm last night...my VP took our Division whoever wanted to come to Milestone's after work. I was like...ummmmmmmm....go to the gym or eat out @ Milestone's? Of course, I decided on Milestone's as I haven't been there in a couple weeks. Not that I go there that often but I do like the food there. I had my first Mojito today, it looks like lemonade but it really isn't. It's a drink w/ mint, lemon flavor, rum and something else. Can't believe they ordered three pitchers, plus other drinks. But everything was finished. Nice and breezy on the patio, good food, good conversations. Thanks!

Praise & Worship at MCAC

Wow, that's all I can say...it was GREAT! On Wednesday night, Jon Bauer, a Worship leader from one of the Alliance Churches in Alberta, came to MCAC to lead worship. It was really awesome just to hear him perform live, full of passion for doing God's work. He also promoted World Vision, asking people to adopt a child from World Vision. It has been quite some time since I've been at Prayer night, due to other obligations...I know I know...excuses excuses. It really lifted me up, just by attending the praise and prayer night, as it does everytime I go. I really do want to adopt/support a WVC, but at this time I can't commit. You can make me feel as guilty as possible, mission accomplished, but I know what I can and cannot commit to. It was also nice to see one of the newbies come as well. I met her last week in Sunday School, she's new to the Church, so I was glad to see her and talk to her as well. Met new people as well, saw old friends as well. Prayed with brothers and sisters in my group for each other and for the world.

Btw, Congratulations to the new fathers...LOL. I'm very proud of you both.

Today, I gave my coworker, a taste of Jon Bauer's music, and she liked it so much she's gonna listen to it at home over the weekend as well...YAY!

I got CAUGHT...Playing with my food...

I will admit that I actually play with my food. Well, I don't call it playing with my food rather, it moves around my plate but not into my mouth. One of my coworkers, she's impressed if I finish my fruit and veggies in the morning. It takes me about 1/2 hour to eat my yogurt, and an hour or so to eat a small plate of fruit and veggies. We like to joke around in the office...I eat while I work, so maybe it takes me a bit longer? Is it possible, I like to take the time to enjoy my food so I cut it into smaller pieces? It's not like I throw my food at others, I don't think. I will put food on others plates if I don't like it...but haven't done that in awhile...

I will try not to play with my food, hahaha...what can I say? When I'm working, the food kinda just sits there in a corner on my desk and I forget about it. I actually forget to drink my water unless it's right in front of me.

Lunches

Ok, so these past few weeks I've actually brought a "real lunch"...I mean not milk and cereal or "Campbell's soup" or "T&T" or some kind of toast...my coworker asked, are you okay? He's like you're eating real food...I'm like WHAT? I was like, ummmmmm...I do eat rice, fried rice, veggies and meat. Yes, I am actually taking my full lunch now and enjoying every moment of it. Rachel and I like to leech off of the respective"home fridges"...why make a new lunch if you can find it in the fridge. It's called grocery shopping at home. It's quick and convenient. Although, I do actually cook which was another shock to my coworkers. My repetoire is more than sausages and eggs. Am I that much of a "princess"? Yes, I am trying to eat healthy, lunch is my biggest meal. W/o the carbs, I get hungry fast. My stomach grumbles louder than the music playing on my computer. When I'm at work, I am eating a lot...here's the routine:

8:30am - Strawberry yogurt w/ granola (must have granola)
9:30am - carrots, 1 slice cucumber, 2 cherry tomatoes
11:00am - 1 fruit (try to)
12:00pm - lunch (rice/noodle, meat, veggies)
3:30pm - banana

Of course, I try to drink lots of water, not ice cold either...and a few cups of green tea. Of course, I sneak in "Treats" as well...sometimes, someone brings in like popsicles, ice cream bars, breakfast,etc...then well, the routine shot.

What a weekend...

High school small reunion just with friends from the "Environment Club"...Yes, I was an environmentalist. We all met up at Crabby Joe's near MAC on Friday...it was a nice evening. Went back to Sagua to meet up with some friends as well for a drink and movie. Lots of driving but it was ok.

Saturday, I went over to watch a movie in Brampton...along w/ eating some yummy homemade desserts. Oh... the crepes were sooooooooo yummy, I should have brought more. Next time for sure. I also forgot to bring my glasses last night, so all I had were my sunglasses. Although I can see w/o my glasses, I can't drive w/o them. So let's just say, wearing my sunglasses at 11:30pm driving along the 401, not that easy. I took the Trafalgar exit and South to Dundas to go home, but it was sooo dark, that I had my high beams on for part of the trip home. Luckily, I made it home safe. No, I didn't actually end up hitting anything:) It was such a fun evening, gotta do it again soon.

This morning, I went to my family's Church in Hamilton for Mother's Day. It was different...Everyone growing up and then I have people asking me, are you new? Then one of the Aunties, asked me if I wanted to wear a corsage...I'm like I'm not a mother yet. She's like it's "Ladies Sunday"...I politely said, no thank you. I'm like, I haven't been gone that long, hahaha...She also asked her daughter if she wanted to wear a corsage, she also said, no thank you.
I actually skipped Sunday School...but...I went to the Chinese/Mandarin Service. So I went to two services. Tonight, I think we're going to have a simple family dinner.

Presentation

Yesterday, I had to give a presentation on an analysis on a couple of our projects, and for those that know me, I don't like public speaking. This presentation has been cancelled numerous times over the last several weeks because of upper managements rescheduling. Every time it gets cancelled, I get more nervous. I just want to get it over with. It's been a few years since I've had to do any business presentations and when I've had to do them, it's w/ powerpoint and just in front of the class and prof, not in front of upper management.

However, it went ok, we both survived it. Meeting went a bit overtime, of course, no difference. At least this time, it was less than 2hours, it was our first time leading the meeting.

Thanks to friends for prayers and encouragement.

Signing my Life away

This past week, as I prepared Tax refunds at work, one of my co-workers that work in the CS area, helped me type up letters for these refunds that I had prepared. It is the first time for me as this was never part of my job. However, due to limited personnel, time,etc...this job was past to me. After I prepared these refunds, I submitted my spreadsheet, calculations, on how I derived to these final numbers so that she was able to explain to our consumers what I was doing. She typed up all 26 letters, explaining what I had done, and said, "Bonnie, it's done. Please sign all these documents, forward all the cheques for mailing"...I was like, "Sweet!" All I had to do was sign all these documents, but of course, I read most of them before I signed it. Just in case...I mean she wrote any problems or for more information to contact me. I saw my direct line, fax, etc...on each letter with my regards to as well.

Anyways, I got lazy reading the rest of the documents, I know they are the same format so I just signed my life away. In a couple weeks, they will call me. This is where I'm not going to answer my phone...hahaha. I'll have the CS return my calls for me. No time to return these calls, it's year end right now.

"Tough Love"-Asking for more Punishment

No, it's not a weird title...That was what "Spin" Class was like tonight. It's been a week since I last went to the gym and four months since I've done the Cycling aka "Spin" Class. So tonight, I thought, why not? The instructor is the best one yet, he pushes you harder and harder. Of course, this is Level 3 (Advanced)...I think he mentioned that he does the Tour de France and other races as well. The point of this blog was that he called it "Tough Love" because he pushed everyone until your legs were ready to fall off. It's a 55minute spin class and I was ready to pass out. I was actually sweating and for those that know me, it takes a lot for me to sweat. Next week's class is apparently 90 minutes, I don't think I can do it. Everyone was more experienced and do these classes regularly. Me? I'm the newbie. I can cycle through the class w/o stopping but increasing hte tension to 80% or higher, then decreasing it, etc...it's hard. At least he plays good, upbeat music. When I got off the bike, I was ready to fall to my knees. I don't think I can take "Tough Love" part two...Gotta take a break. I'll try to get back into my routing w/ cycling though. I do enjoy it.
