Weekend in Toronto

I would have written in the blog earlier but I've been extremely busy and exhausted. Ya, that's right, too much partying on the weekend. Well acutally, only Saturday, hahaha...

Alana and I went over to a friend's place in TO for a sushi party. What can I say? I'm paranoid about "being on time"...but Alana helped me get over it and become a CST "Chinese Standard time" although she's not chinese...so the Carribean Standard time, =) It was my first time making sushi, I've always enjoyed eating it, just never had the opportunity to make them. At this party though, I had a very good teacher, a Sensei, who helped me and taught me to make good sushi rolls. So the first one, was a little much, on the rice side, but all the ones after that looked great. The ingredients choosen complimented each other, thanks for the great advice buddy! I had a wide variety of seafood including octopus, salmon, white fish, eel, etc...oh so yummy, I want more! Just kidding! Thanks Alana for coming by, I know you had another party to go to, you had to do that special "courier"...After dinner, we played cards, XBox, and with the baby kittens Vita and Diva. They're so adorable, and no, they didn't run away from me. For dessert, Tiramisu from the italian bakery near by with HagenDaz to compliment. Strawberry cheesecake goes well with Tiramisu, don't you think? Went to sleep around 2am...I could have stayed up I'm sure, but had to wake up for the CN Tower climb at 6am. There's so many good memories from that night, hopefully, there will be more to come.

Sunday morning, I did the CN Tower climb with RBC, I think the team was called "Running Rebels" with seven other team members at 6am. Ya, that's right, bright and early. Thanks to the wonderful dinner from the night before and leftover apple pie for breakfast, of course, I was able to complete the climb in 22minutes and 53seconds. That's a great achievement for me. I give God all the praises, without Him, I don't think I could have done it. I've never done the climb before, and the average time is 30-34minutes. There was 143 floors, plus an additional 12 smaller flights to the exit. So I'm not 100% fit, so I took 20sec. breaks at the 76th, 100th, and every 10 floors after that. I needed to catch my breath. I thought my heart had jumped out of my body because it was pounding so loud. After the climb, I invited my teammates to my Church and they came...After the service, went for lunch and movie as none of us had eaten after the climb and our tummies were louder than the drums.

I caught up on my sleep during the movie just a bit, I couldn't help it...but I slept 12hrs Sunday night, and still woke up tired. Since I had a meeting w/ family friends in the morning, I only slept in til 10am monday morning. Took my parents out for dinner in Scarborough since I don't spend quality time with them. Call it a pre-anniversary gift fot them. During the drive out there, there was a lot of hail, it was like marbles across the 401...not good. Since I was still tired from the weekend, I asked my mom to drive home because I wouldn't be able to stay awake anymore.

Enough about me now...it's another week, more changes to work, ai yah=( Although, all the happy memories I have from that weekend will carry me through another week...

What a weekend...

Can't believe it's Sunday night now as I'm writing this...where has the past 24hours gone? Time just flew by...Luckily I spent Friday night at home just resting.

Saturday, started off not so great but towards the end, it was fabulous. Due to problem signals at the Train station my train from Oakville GO, was delayed by 1/2hour. Basically, a 1/2hr train ride became a 2hr train ride. Sooo dissapointing. On top of that, I forgot to write down my TSO account number. Luckily, dependable Alana, was able to check for me from her home. I remembered the six digits, just not the sequence for 3digits. There were four possibilites...Thanks Alana, for checking me email for me=) Originally I was gonna do some shopping at Eaton Centre but because my train was soooooooo late, I resorted to DT Chinatown. Met up with the Girlz for dinner at what I called the usual place "Golden stone", cheap food. After dinner, we all went to Roy Thompson Hall so that I can pick up the tickets, and since we're early we dropped by Tim Horton's for coffee or in Alana's case, dessert. Luckily, everything went smoothly including my friend that was going to be late but showed up on time. We all enjoyed the show and it was my first experience at the TSO. Thanks for making it a memorable one=) The music was tense, as it was after all a percussions concerto concert, but it made me appreciate all the different instruments and the presentation. The harp, the flute, the piccolo, 1st clarinet, and the strings were so lovely. Like I said last night, in the car, it took my breath away. I can't wait til our next adventure, at the Opera?

Today, after Church, I met up with my team captain for the CN Tower climb to go over the details, etc...for the climb next weekend. After all, it's almost been a year since I've seen Ray. He will be leading one of the RBC teams for the Corporate Climb on Sunday, and since it's also my first time I wanted to make sure I have everything. After the lunch, we both went our seperate ways, as another friend called to make sure I was still available for the afternoon hike back home. I was kinda excited...Exploring another part of Burlington I never knew. I didn't know that the Bruce Trail is 10minutes away from my house on Dundas St., and you climb up the escarpment. I was able to see the CN Tower, and Hamilton as well. The weather was nice and the trails were tricky. Trusting in someone else, climbing all these steep hills, exploring nature, one of my favourite times. There were several spots that no matter where you turned you were surrounded by the feeling of fall, it really felt like we were in a movie, like the secret garden or something. It was a beautiful afternoon. Too bad we didn't take pictures of that. On this adventure, we also talked about ourselves and well other "stuff". It was a wonderful time. I hope to do it again soon! You're a great photgrapher...Great pics, I want to post them all up, perhaps next time...it'll be on my album.

When I forget something you remember, and vice versa. Good team work=)

3 Girls and A Guy~Part Deux

Here is a pic of Cliff at the TOP! Yes, us girls are stronger than we look=)

3 Girls and a Guy...

This afternoon, the four of us (Alana, Cliff, Elaine and I) went on a hike at Webster's Falls. First of all, I must say, everyone got a lot of EXERCISE. Ohhhhhh...yes, Alana I said the "E" word...it's forbidden...hahaha..."EXERCISE." Lots of stair climbing, and climbing steep hills. A couple of us fell as well. Alana took a fall and as did I...but not on my "bumbum" just on my hip. Both Elaine and I took lots of pics, and we all chatted of course. It's also agreed that I'm somewhat "High maintenance"...but that's a story for some other time. Oh, some of the pics include Cliff wearing Alana's sweater, Elaine and I kisssing, that's right or Alana and I playing in the leaves. By the end of the afternoon, Cliff and Alana were extremely tired. Who thought that both Elaine and I could outlast Cliff...hahaha. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to checkout the other waterfall, b/c of time. I'll only post a couple pics up...The others can be viewed on my yahoo album, if you go to the top of this page, on the right, there is a "Photo album".

Great Weekend

Wow, fantastic weekend, that's all I can say. Some stuff that happened cannot be said due to the content. However, what can be said is that it was lots of fun and we must do it again sometime. Just the small group of us, it'd be fun if it was the same people again. With that said...onto Satuday.

Saturday, was FUN. I brought Alana to Pac Mall for the first time in Markham...she drove of course. Yes, parking was not fun. Went for a couple hours before I met up w/ my friend for dinner. Alana bought a watch, and I got to bargain for it, plus other goodies. Lots of walking around, lots of people and lots of mooncake.

After shopping, my friend and I went to our friend's birthday dinner at Wasabi in Richmond Hill. Great restaurant, I'd go there again. There was red tuna for once...A different style of buffet than other ones. The atmosphere was nice, upscale but price was reasonable $21.99+tax+drink. We all had lots of good food, oh it was a night to remember. There were a total of 18 people, met a couple new guys. Got invited to another party in a few weeks. After this wonderful buffet, we went to Destiny's BBtea, it was sooooooooo good. Although I wouldn't pay $7 for BBtea, only b/c there's no way I can drink all that. It looked really good but, my stomach isn't big enough to drink that after a large buffet. Thanks so much for driving buddy and taking wonderful pics=)

Yes, this picture is one of my natural smiles...I was surprised at how good the pictures turned out. For those that know me, I don't always look naturally happy in all the photos. Unfortunately, I can't post the other ones right now.
