Weekend in Toronto

I would have written in the blog earlier but I've been extremely busy and exhausted. Ya, that's right, too much partying on the weekend. Well acutally, only Saturday, hahaha...

Alana and I went over to a friend's place in TO for a sushi party. What can I say? I'm paranoid about "being on time"...but Alana helped me get over it and become a CST "Chinese Standard time" although she's not chinese...so the Carribean Standard time, =) It was my first time making sushi, I've always enjoyed eating it, just never had the opportunity to make them. At this party though, I had a very good teacher, a Sensei, who helped me and taught me to make good sushi rolls. So the first one, was a little much, on the rice side, but all the ones after that looked great. The ingredients choosen complimented each other, thanks for the great advice buddy! I had a wide variety of seafood including octopus, salmon, white fish, eel, etc...oh so yummy, I want more! Just kidding! Thanks Alana for coming by, I know you had another party to go to, you had to do that special "courier"...After dinner, we played cards, XBox, and with the baby kittens Vita and Diva. They're so adorable, and no, they didn't run away from me. For dessert, Tiramisu from the italian bakery near by with HagenDaz to compliment. Strawberry cheesecake goes well with Tiramisu, don't you think? Went to sleep around 2am...I could have stayed up I'm sure, but had to wake up for the CN Tower climb at 6am. There's so many good memories from that night, hopefully, there will be more to come.

Sunday morning, I did the CN Tower climb with RBC, I think the team was called "Running Rebels" with seven other team members at 6am. Ya, that's right, bright and early. Thanks to the wonderful dinner from the night before and leftover apple pie for breakfast, of course, I was able to complete the climb in 22minutes and 53seconds. That's a great achievement for me. I give God all the praises, without Him, I don't think I could have done it. I've never done the climb before, and the average time is 30-34minutes. There was 143 floors, plus an additional 12 smaller flights to the exit. So I'm not 100% fit, so I took 20sec. breaks at the 76th, 100th, and every 10 floors after that. I needed to catch my breath. I thought my heart had jumped out of my body because it was pounding so loud. After the climb, I invited my teammates to my Church and they came...After the service, went for lunch and movie as none of us had eaten after the climb and our tummies were louder than the drums.

I caught up on my sleep during the movie just a bit, I couldn't help it...but I slept 12hrs Sunday night, and still woke up tired. Since I had a meeting w/ family friends in the morning, I only slept in til 10am monday morning. Took my parents out for dinner in Scarborough since I don't spend quality time with them. Call it a pre-anniversary gift fot them. During the drive out there, there was a lot of hail, it was like marbles across the 401...not good. Since I was still tired from the weekend, I asked my mom to drive home because I wouldn't be able to stay awake anymore.

Enough about me now...it's another week, more changes to work, ai yah=( Although, all the happy memories I have from that weekend will carry me through another week...
