Civic Holiday~Wii in Markham

Yesterday, Cliff, Elaine and I went over to Len's place, one of Cliff's old buddies to play Wii for the afternoon/evening. We played Raeman, of course, I'm good at the "bunny game", my reputation percedes me apparently...also played Bowling, scored 170, came in 2nd place for my team...played Boxing, lost to George even though we switched characters so I could play Congo. So it wasn't the character, it was me. :( Another game was Brainquiz, and this time the "girl" beat the "guys" 2 to 1, I believe. The last game that we all played was Wii Golf with nine holes, eight players, teamed in pairs as the limit is 4 players. So we all took turns on each hole. This game took almost 2 hours to play, very intense, and at some moments, quite agressive.

After five hours of Wii...the remainging six of us decided to go eat at First Markham Place. B/c of my sensitivity to tofu, they all switched their soup to some kind of chicken soup, chinese style. I started drinking it, ate a piece of the black chicken thinking it was pork, don't ask why, until I saw chicken feet. As soon as I saw it, I couldn't drink it anymore...what a waste of soup, and it was almost $7.00/per bowl. Luckily, Len(Cliff's friend) poured out a bowl of the soup, w/o anything in it and I drank it...but I couldn't look at it. The soup was good don't get me wrong, just I got scared when I saw the black chicken.

Overall, it was a fun filled weekend. It's a small world after all, common friends from different circles coming together...til we meet again(next month)

Hiking @ Mount Nemo w/ TCBC friends

Thanks to JP for inviting me along to a hike @ Mount Nemo/Crawford Lake on Saturday. There were approximately 22 people that attended this hike from TO and surrounding areas. For me, this was a second hike at Mount Nemo since July long weekend so I was more of a guide, well kinda. No, I did not lose anyone nor did I get anyone lost.

After a two hour hike, we had a picnic lunch@ Crawford Lake. Thanks to Angel and her "assistant" for preparing all the food, as well as, Long cutting the watermelon(hehehe) and to everyone else for preparing the wonderful food. Good food, healthy and so chinese, what would a picnic be like w/o Ribena? hahaha...I haven't had that drink since I was a child.

After lunch, everyone drifted off into little groups and went on small adventures, looking at the "village", the lake, etc... Saw some old friends and met some new friends as well.

Thanks for inviting me, it was nice to see you all again:)
