Weekend

Wow, the weekend really went by FAST! Friday night was a night of sharing from Christina on her missions trip to Thailand. Lots of sweet desserts and drinks=) Although Saturday was raining, my friends still got together in Scarborough and had a BBQ. It was great to see everyone, us ladies had lots of FUN! Thanks for organizing JP...Next time, I'll try to spend more time there. Great Food, lots of BBQ...It was an evening of fun and meeting new people. I met different groups of people that night, all very nice and welcoming. Now, I can say, I've been to Stouffville. Small place, still in development.
Sunday was an interesting day as well at Church. A couple new people came to Church who will be joining our Fellowship, welcome welcome! Lots of people attended Sunday School, great lesson on "Origins of Islam"...almost complete...one more week. Then it's "Da Vinci code"...

Encouraging Words

"Friends are friends forever, if the Lord is the Lord of themAnd a friend will not say never, cause the welcome will not endThough it's hard to let you go In the Father's hands I knowThat a lifetime's not too long... to live as friends." -Michael W Smith.

A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love and encourages you with hope."

MeMoRiEs are made by you, to be treasured Daily & thankful that you have people to share them with.

A friend is one who loves you for who you are, accepts you as you are and will not try to change you.

People come and go in our lives...but those you consider friends, hold them dear to your heart.

Every relationship start off as friends...It is up to the individual to develop the friendship in order for it to grow.

What a WEEKEND!

Well, to the few people that know what has been going on this weekend, you know it's been crazy! There were good times and of course the bad times. Yesterday, A couple girls and I went to a friend's bday party in Hamilton/Stoney Creek. Who knew I'd get lost, I mean really lost considering I used to live in Hamilton years ago. Today, I got my membership...Yay! Also, my friend Daniel got baptized today, Congrats Daniel! The fellowship lunch was interesting today...as we all went to Celebrate the grand occassion...we had 13 people for lunch. Since there was no table large enough for us, we split into the "English" speaking and the "Cantonese" speaking groups. Although, it was a large group, I decided to sit w/ the "Cantonese" speaking crowd and make our guests feel welcome at MCAC. It was a good time of fellowshipping and catching up w/ people I haven't seen in awhile...After the wonderful lunch, I went on a walk/a stroll w/ a friend just to catch up on what's been happening in each other's lives; as well as, each other's spiritual journey, our walk w/ Christ. I must say, it felt great to just sit down and pray for each other. Just to observe God's wonderful creation and to see that He is still in control of everything. As no one was really dressed to go for a stroll, it was a very short stroll, nonetheless, healthy after eating a lot of carbs!

Great weekend

Wow, it's Sunday night once again...It's been a great weekend=) Lots of good exercise...Hiking at Wester's falls, Dundas, ON was great...I can see how this particular "hike" was good exercise. A lot of steep hill climbing...grabbing onto branches, rocks or someone to get balance. Thanks for your help! It was sunny throughout the afternoon, bright and nice. The grounds weren't all dry yet, somewhat muddy, but nice crisp air. Nice big waterfalls in the background, trees, leaves, etc...great place to go when it gets warmer=)

In the evening, a couple gf's came over and just had a "girlz nite out" so to speak...watched a couple movies, of course, w/ male leads...enjoyed some "drinks", chats, photo galleries. It was a fun evening...gotta do it again sometime. By the end of the nite, everything tasted like lychee to me, including ice wine...hehehe.

Hiking saturday, and Curling sunday...wow, busy weeekend. A group of us got together to go Curling this afternoon after our respective Church services ended, quite fun, just a bit COLD...Enjoyable sport to play but not to watch. Got a chance to get reaquainted w/ friends from the "West"...HCAC people w/ a bit of MCAC fusion happening...hahaha...Our team did quite well, no one had accidents this year, YAY! Aprroximately, 16 people went curling...Due to the long drive from Sauga, to Dundas, we decided to leave one car in Burlington, and take my car to Dundas. I don't think I've driven that fast in a couple years now. Going from sauga to Burlington, is about 40Km, s/b about 30 minutes, but we did in approx. 20 minutes going 13okm/hr+. However, made it there just in time w/ time to stop at Tim Horton's. I realized also, when driving from sauga to about Bronte everyone goes at least 120 or 130, and as soon as you cross Bronte, everyone slows down to 90 or 100. I noticed the change in everyone's speed right into Dundas...

Overall, it was a good time of fellowship, getting to know one another better and to enjoy God's creations!

KNOWING YOU, KNOWING ME

It's probably a weird title...but have you ever met people who know you extremely well? I mean, everyone has friends...but some friends are closer than others. One of the things that caught me off guard lately, is that a friend knew me better than I thought. Don't you just hate it, when you lie about how you feel, or try to hide it, your friends know the real you...When I'm sad or just feeling down, a couple of my closer friends, know that no matter, the mask I try to put on, they can see right through it. They will bluntly tell me, or ask me what's wrong? Stop hiding it!! No matter, how much I try to deny it, or lie to myself, my friends know me too well. One of my friends asked me that lately...and I guess, I was just shocked at how someone can know me so well. I guess sometimes I lie to myself that everything is fine, no need to bother anyone w/ my problems, there are more bigger problems in the world...Although deep down, something is bothering me, it does feel great to have a couple close friends to lean on. I guess challenge me to let it all out, let it go...and it does feel good after=) It's great to have friends that care about me just as I care about them. Being there for them in the good times and the bad...that's how you get to know both sides of a person. That includes having arguements, fights (not physical)...stronger friendships are formed after going through these "tough" times.
Anywayz, I'm so blessed to have so many "Wonderful" friends that care=) Thank you guys/gals...You're the BEST!
