An Advil a Day keeps the Pain at Bay
Since Thanksgiving Sunday, Advil has been my "Best Friend"... Maybe I had too much fun the night before. Although all I did was go to my friend's wedding rehearsal. It was a good night of laughter, jokes, and playing DDR on the wii among other things. Chatted quite a bit w/ my friend, whom is a groosmen and also to the Best man, whom I will be walking down the aisle with. Vegetarian food, what can I say? I went in hungry, extremely hungry and so did my friend Len, but after eating a slice of pizza, a couple spinach puff pastries, fried rice, etc... I couldn't finish my cheesecake nor my cake. Overall good fun, the guys will be in for a surprise, muhahahaha...
Ok, back to Sunday...I had choir in the morning and I was a bit nervous but when I woke up, my stomach was in a lot of pain...severe cramps? Anyways, I was thinking, I can't deal with this now, looking through what I can find, I found a bottle of Advil. Yay! It kicked in at practice so I was able to sing...it probably didn't help that I was really nervous. Anyways, after Service, lunch, I went home thinking I could eat or nap, just to find out neither was possible. Guests started to arrive at my place around 5pm and had friends and relatives over til 11pm. It was a good time of laughter, wii playing and DDR on PS2 and lots of food...B/c of JB, I came up 1/2 hour later from playing DDR sweating and had to change. For those that know me, I rarely sweat. My brothers came over, one of my uncles, and my friend's father as well, so there was a mixture of Cantonese, English, and Mandarin conversations.
Monday, when I woke up, same thing...Advil must have worn off. Took more advil but then I think it has to also deal with bad sleeping patterns and gave me a massive headache. So I wasn't in the best mood when I went out to Scarborough w/ family that day, I wish I could be better. I did try to enjoy the day although I just bent most of it sitting around in Markham and drinking BBTea. When I got home, I did some homework, but didn't get much accomplished.
Tuesday, I was tight for time so I spent only 45minutes at the gym...b/c I had to hand in my assignment. Although staying up til 4am, trying to finish it, I realized that there'd be no way...considering I only had 2 out of 6 major questions completed. So I slept for a couple hours and went to work.
One thing that kept me going Wednesday was "Timothy's Sweet Pumpkin" coffee, it tastes really good....that and Advil. I think I'm coming down with something. I sneeze all day at work and a slight temperature.
Today, I got a bit more sleep, about 5hours but when I woke up, still sneezing and coughing. More advil...although I will have to cut back on Advil, it's gotta do a lot of harm to my body.
Thank you for the late night encouragements, and conversations to keep me awake these past few nights. It helps to know that there are people that stay up late, that I can chat briefly when I need a break. Thank you for your prayers and patience.
