Long Weekend

Sooooooo my plans changed...I didn't end up going to Boston. I do have some regrets not going, but I did have a good time here in the surrounding GTA area as well. So what did I do?

Saturday: Went to an Irish Pub to celebrate Nikki's Bday, and Elaine's engagement. It was also just an evening to just hang out, to chill and catch up w/ each other. I'm happy for my friends as they prepare for their respective weddings next year...time will fly, among other changes.

Sunday: Made a cake for Sunday School snacks, I must say I enjoyed making the chocolate fans rather than the cake itself. Just melting chocolate and creating my own designs is fun. My mom came w/ me to MCAC so after, one of my friends drove me to SQ1 to meet her there. There was a little "AyAyAy! luncheon" which we enjoyed the good times from the concert. I spent time w/ my family tonight, watched a movie at home and had T&T for dinner.

Monday: Last minute planning, and had a BBQ at my house tonight, sent out email the night before. It was suppose to be a games night at my friend's place in Etobicoke, but plans change and one of my friends suggested my place. So BBQ at my place...My brother prepared sushi, pasta, and I made crepes...we also had burgers and hotdogs...and the food wasn't burnt. It was nicely cooked. Great chefs helping out. It was an evening of Wii night in the basement (wii Tennis, etc) and Xbox360 on the main floor (Rockband). It was great to just see friends from all over coming(mostly Emmanuel), from Sauga, Brampton, Hamilton and Richmond Hill. Just seeing people connect, having fun, laughing together, now that's a great party. Party finally ended closer to 2am, luckily it was a long weekend.

Tuesday: Went to Markham with my family to Pmall, and then went to KBBQ at Commercegate. Found out I only eat Beef, Beef ribs, Chicken, Salmon, and KimChi...and planned along w/ Marc a last minute fireworks, thankfully he sent an email out. I forgot that I don't have unlimited airtime during the day. So a few of us got together and went to BBTea at Oasis (a bit slow, but less noise) and went to see the fireworks at CityCentre...not realizing traffic was backed up to the eyes can see, but we had to park at the Coliseum and watch from there. Ottawa has better fireworks though, but then that was $100K. It was pretty cold that night, so it took me like 2hours to drink my Mango Slush... Overall, a fun night.
